At Pura Adventure you learn to surf from an expert! This Costa Rica tour package includes surf classes where Johan will teach you the basics of surfing and how to stand up and paddle properly. You will also learn how to catch waves, turn and ride them like a professional. If you already know this sport and want to improve, Johan is the right guy. He is an expert with 20 years of experience and will bring out the best in you. He is very passionate about surfing and helping others to surf.

Our Costa Rica, Tamarindo tour will take your breath away! Tamarindo is one of the most popular surfing beaches for beginners in Costa Rica. It has a beach break with a sandy bottom. In perfect conditions, it has a long right wave that is great for any level of surfing. By the north, there is a river mouth; by the south, there is a lava reef break with a one-peak wave.

What to expect from our Tamarindo tour surf classes in Costa Rica: it begins with 20-30 minutes of instruction, a warm-up exercise, body stretches, practicing multiple surf positions, and a discussion of how to read waves, the ocean, and its ever-changing conditions. Then...we surf!

A 2 hour lesson includes: photos, rash-guard rental, surfboard rental, and a drink (water or coconut water)

What to bring for the lesson: Sunblock (preferably water resistant with zinc), a bathing suit, and a towel.
